The University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers are leading the UAAP Season 73 Overall Championship race 2010.




They have 177 Gold Medals while The De La Salle Green Archers have 171 Gold Medals.


If the UST Growling Tigers would continue to win Gold Medals they will again be the UAAP Overall Champions for more than five years.

MANILA, Philippines – The University of Santo Tomas (UST) is the leading school in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) general championship tally after 7 sporting events.

UST leads the pack with a 1st semester total of 154 points. It bagged the championship in men’s badminton, women’s taekwondo, men’s table tennis and women’s judo.

The España-based university finished in 2nd place in men’s beach volleyball, men’s swimming, men’s taekwondo and men’s judo. It had 3rd place finishes in women’s basketball and women’s table tennis.

UST has 37 UAAP General Championships. It won its 12th straight general championship in the seniors’ division last year.
