The Talk 'n Text Tropang Texters demolished the Alaska Aces behind Jason Castro's heroics. They won with the score of 93-83. Jason Castro had 17 points.
The Talk 'n Text Tropang Texters are now on top of the standings along with San Miguel with the record of 5-1.
Talk 'n Text's magic six players had double figures in terms of scoring. They are Jimmy Alapag, Jared Dillinger, Harvey Carey, Kelly Williams and Ryan Reyes.
Alaska is now in the fourth place in the team standings along with powerade with the record of 3-3.
Coach Chot Reyes of Talk 'n Text said, “Our first priority was to get off to a good start. You can’t just leave Alaska behind but atleast you would have the cushion. In the end, we had enough horses to withstand their endgame charge.”
He also said, “If Jason continues to shoot that way, we’ll be hard to beat. Alaska's Joe Devance has becoming a bitch to defend. He’s becoming the best in the league. It took the collective effort of Jared, Harvey and Kelly to slow him down. We slowed him down and yet he produced 23 points and 10 rebounds.”
