Mark Cardona studied at Brent International School during his High School days and afterwards he chose De La Salle University as his school in college. He appears to be "conyo" but deep inside he is a very humble guy.
He is already married with his long time girlfriend since his college days. They have been on and off but through the help of his teamates especially Carlo Sharma they have stayed together.
He loves giving flowers to the girl that he loves.
Cardona is nicknamed as Captain hook because of his patented teardrop shots even from the 15 foot line.
Cardona's moral lesson came when he was twice blocked by Larry Fonacier in the 2002 UAAP men's basketball championship.
He is currently playing for the Meralco Bolts of the PBA wherein he got a whopping 13.4 million pesos contract.
He is a shooting guard by nature. He can create shots whenever he is guarded by smaller defenders but most of the time he relies on the plays of his pointguard for better shooting.
He is considered by some as the most prolific scorer in the PBA today due to his scoring abilities and his consistency.
