Jasmin Ouschan Wins World 10-Ball 2010

Jasmin Ouschan from Austria has won the 2010 Women's World 10-Ball title when she defeated Ga Young Kim of Korea with the score of 10-6.

Jasmin said, “I can’t believe it, I’m so happy. I’m waiting for this for so long. I’ve been close [to winning] for so many times. To win here in the billiard capital of the world, in front of my favorite fans, it is the best way to win a championship.”

Jasmin started out slow against the witty Korean who scored 3 racks in a row. Jasmin was down by 3 racks but she did not lose hope.

In the fourth rack Jasmin went berserk and she caught the momentum that she's been looking for. She was able to tie that match a 4-4.

Ga Young Kim commited several unforced errors and Jasmin took the opportunity to get the lead enroute to a 7-4 lead. She continued until the 16 rack and she won the match.

She brought home 20,000 dollars as the championship prize from the competition while her Korean foe Ga Young Kim will be bringing home 9,000 dollars for the second placer.
