The world’s biggest basketball league is back for its 70th season, and one of its stars Derrick Rose will be debuting his new signature shoe, the DRose 6 Boost.
Check out my unboxing of the shoe:
I was fortunate enough to be able to try the shoe. And, after a series of workout and basketball drills, I'm satisfied with how it performed on the court in terms of traction, foot support, ventilation, and cushioning.
Traction
I will share to you my experience with the shoe. Let's first start with its traction. It has excellent traction. I had no slippage and while it keeps me stable on the court, the unique outsole pattern also lessens the foot pressure whenever I move sideways/laterally due to its flexibility.

Foot Support (the upper and TPU plastic near the ankle)
I love the upper of the DRose 6 Boost. It adapts to my feet due to its pliability that promotes natural foot movement with sufficient support whenever I move towards the basket.
It has a unique ergonomic design that permits a less restrictive movement.

On the heel side of the shoe there's a large TPU plastic for ankle support and unique fit tightening mechanism for a less restrictive and more comfortable movement. This kind of set-up reminds of the T-Mac 4 basketball shoe due to its unique lacing system.

One of the best shoe ventilation out there. So many perforations on the upper that allows airflow even during intense pressure.

Cushioning
The footwork drills and one-on-one basketball workout got me saying "one of the best basketball shoes out there in the market." The DRose 6 Boost has excellent heel to toe cushioning. Pointguards and big men will love this sneaker.

Overall, the DRose 6 Boost is an excellent shoe. I highly recommend this to Pointguards, guards, and as well as forwards who want a flexible upper and soft cushioning.
