Ryan Jay Reyes was born on August 10, 1983 in Los Angeles, California. He is now a professional half Filipino half American basketball player in the Philippine Basketball Association and is a point guard of the Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters. He's monicker or alis in the PBA is "D-Energizer" for his energetic and high octane playing style. He was drafted third overall by the Sta. Lucia Realtors in 2007, a testament to his potential, as import picks in the PBA draft are used on taller prospects. In the 2008 season, Ryan delivered on his potential by winning the Rookie of the Year honor and the 2008 PBA Championship.
He was also a former member of the Philippine National Basketball Team under coach Yeng Guiao.
