Giants Beats Rangers Game 1 World Series 2010 106th

If there's something that separates the Texas Rangers and the San Francisco Giants it's experience. The Rangers have never played a World Series game while the New York Giants have been there since time immemorial but they are always a failure. In terms of skills and talents they are somehow at par with each other but in terms of experience I'll go for the New York Giants.

The World Series which is on its 106th anniversary will start on Wednesday evening in San Francisco California. It will be from October 31- November 4, 2010. What is certain at the end is that one city will be crowned as the new World Series Champions for the first time.

During the year 1954 the New York Giants won the series. They were still using the old Polo Grounds in the upper Manhattan. It was their lucky charm because they always get into the Fall Classic three times whenever they use that place.

The New York Yankees beat the San Francisco Giants in 1962 in the Fall Classic. But since then they are a consistent force to reckon with in the World Series.

Indeed in the first game of the 2010 World Series the San Francisco Giants beat the Texas Rangers. The home team won.

The first game was a thriller. Both of the teams refused to win but it was the experience of the Giants that carried them. The score was 11-7. Both of the team's aces hit hard. Tim Lincecum had a great game.

The rangers struck first and they put up two runs for the first two winnings but the Giants made their own run in the third and then six more runs at the bottom of the fifth inning and then hold on as the Rangers added three runs in the top of the ninth. Second basement Freddie Sanchez have four hits three runs batted in and two runs scored for the Giants who became the winners.

Third basement Juan Yiribei added one on a three run homer on the fifth. Vladimir Guererro had two runs for the Rangers but he committed a costly error which helped the giants score three runs.

Game 2 will be tomorrow afternoon in San Francisco.

Here are the videos of their game 1:
