Chris Paul Leads MVP Race NBA 2010-2011

The New Orleans Hornets is the only team in the NBA to remain unbeaten. The Lakers have already succumb to Denver.

The reason behind the 7-0 start of the Hornets is their 6'0 pointguard Chris Paul. Though he doesn't score that much for his team he compensates it with his passing abilities. He involves every teamates that he has on the floor. Remember that game winning three pointer by Trevor Ariza against the Miami Heat? It was all because of Chris Paul's penetration in the paint and his kick-out pass to the wide open Trevor Ariza.

His leadership, his drive to excel despite his size, his willingness to do the impossible and his immense trust to his teamates that never dwindles help Chris Paul or Popularly known to many as CP3 to be on top of the most recent MVP rankings.

In their last game Chris Paul had 18 points and 13 assists. That is difficult to do. But I think he has what it takes to be this year's MVP because he has been on the list for atleast two years prior to last year wherein he suffered an injury that sidelined him for the rest of the year. And remember that he was a former rookie of the year in 2006 and most rookie of the year player have the potential to become an MVP.

The most recent list of MVP rankings is:

    1. Chris Paul
    2. Deron Williams
    3. Pau Gasol
    4. Rajon Rondo
    5. Derrick Rose
    6. Kevin Durant
    7. Kobe Bryant
    8. Dwight Howard
    9. Dirk Nowitzki
    10.Monta Ellis
