Kiefer Ravena The Best High School Basketball Player In The Philippines As Shown In Bantay Bata All Star Game 2010

Before it was a bit arguable who the best high school basketball player in the Philippines is, but it was answered by the recently concluded Bantay Bata All Star Game 2010 where Kiefer Ravena and his rival Baser Amer went head to head against each other.

Kiefer Ravena of the Ateneo Blue Eaglets defended Baser Amer of San Beda and vice-versa. Kiefer just went pass Baser's defense for free lay-ups. Kiefer is known as the phenom and Baser is known as the Hammer and the Phenom definitely dominated the Hammer in all angles.

In the game Kiefer Ravena had the biggest individual score among all the high school players who played with 30 points. Baser Amer only had 14 points but the consolation was the NCAA high school all star selection won with the score of 85-81.

Kiefer made a last ditch effort but in the 30.5 second mark of the game he passed the ball to his teamate Cinco of UP but the ball ricochet out of bounds and that sealed their fate.

Kiefer's team was a lot smaller than Baser's team. But Kiefer carried his team with all his might. That's a stuff of winners and great players. For me he is the best High School baller to ever play the sport of basketball.

In the game, there's one instance wherein Kiefer had a tight lane and all of a sudden he just went berserk for a supposed to be dunk! Oh my! But it went back rim and he missed a dunk which could have made the game more colorful and worth remembering.

The players that we've just watched are the futures of Philippine basketball. That is in itself priceless!

To further show how great Kiefer is I have here some videos from YouTube:
