The MMICAA or otherwise known as the Metro Manila Inter-Collegiate Athlete Association will usher in its 13th season which will be on Saturday, November 20, 2010 and it will start at 9 a.m. at San Juan Gym.

Every year the league has a theme. This year it's for the nation building. It goes like this: “Enhancing the Athlete’s Performance for Unity and Progress in Building the Nation.”

Just like any other leagues it has sporting events but they limited it to only 7 different sports, namely chess, volleyball, swimming, table tennis, basketball, badminton, and of course cheer dance.

The league has 16 prized participating schools. They are the
Antipolo Lady of Lourdes School (ALLS), Central Colleges of the Philippines (CCP), Domincan College of San Juan (DCSJ), Don Bosco Technical College (DBTC), Eulogio Amang Rodriguez Institute of Science (EARIST), Florida Institute of Technology (FIT), Informatics International College – Diliman (IIC-D), La Consolacion College Manila (LCCM), Manila Doctors College (MDC), Pamantsan ng Lungsod ng Pasig (PLP), Rizal Technological University (RTU), St. Joseph’s College Quezon City (SJCQC), St. Joseph School (SJSM), Siena College Quezon City (SCQC), St. Paul University – Manila (SPUM), and St. Paul University Quezon City (SPUQC)

It is but fitting that the 4 top cheerdance teams of the league to collaborate and do an intermission number for the audience come opening night. These 4 schools are the Central Colleges of the Philippines Bobcats, St. Paul University Manila Dance Troupe, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasig Cheerdance Team and the College of the Holy Spirit Manila-Dance Troupe.

The good news for basketball fans is 4 thrilling basketball games are scheduled in the opening night.
