It was a disappointing game on the part of the new headcoach of the NU Bulldogs Joey Guanio as he saw his team succumb to defeat on the hands of the Mapua Cardinals in the PCCL 2010 with the score of 74-61.
Erwin Cornejo was the Superman for the Mapua Cardinals as he worked his way to his 10 points while doing a great defensive job on NU's star pointguard Joseph Terso. Terso struggled in this game because of Cornejo's face up defense. Among Mapua's big men it was Mike Parala, a 6'7 center who was a transferee from the University of Santo Tomas' Team B pool had the greatest performance. He had 22 points while in spite of Emanuel Mbe's defense on him. Although he was later on ejected because he threw a assassin like punch on Mbe in the fourth quarter.
The Mapua Cardinals are now in the PCCL Final 4 along with the University of Cebu and FEU Tamaraws.
