    Manny Pacquiao Congressman Sarangani

    Office Map

From being a bread vendor to being a 7 weight division boxing champ Manny Pacquiao has proven to all Filipinos that hard work and charisma can make a person successful. He has proven that time and time again. But there's one thing that knocked him down once and that was when he run for a public office at a district in General Santos City, Philippines. He succumb to defeat against Darlyn Antonino-Custodio. But as a good fighter he never surrendered. He continued to fight for his dream to become a politician, a congressman who longs to serve his people. Perhaps it was his steadfast good will to serve his countrymen that Manny "The Pacman" Pacquiao, in this years election, May 10, 2010 scored a landslide win against the very famous Chiongbian. The Chiongbians are very powerful and influential in Sarangani because they hold a very successful business there. But here comes Manny, a champion boxer and a multi-millionare who faught against the Chiongbians in what is to be considered fatalistic because he was against a clan who's long been in Sarangani and who's long established ties with people in that place. But, Manny didn't shun to the challenge. As what he regularly does, he faught hard and in the end he won. Before he was a bread vendor and now he's become a well-rounded, service-driven, and an achiever. Cheers Manny. May your winning ways continue. As I was doing this write-up, I can't help but to feel the surging inspiration that is coming out of my system. Manny, thank you for making a difference. Thank you because you've proven that poverty is not a hindrance to success. There is really a world of difference between being a worker and a hardworker!
