The semi-finals is scheduled today, June 11, 2010. For the first game FEU Tamaraws will fight against the Adamson Falcons and for the second game San Sebastion College Recoletos Golden Stags will fight against Jose Rizal University Heavy Bombers.
For the first game, FEU won over the Adamson Falcons. Lester Alvarez and Alex Nuyles brought their aggressiveness and outside shooting to make the game close and as a result the game went into overtime.
In the overtimet RR Farcia had 10 points all in the overtime to help the tamaraws win the game. He was the reason why the feu tamaraws led by 10 points over adamson with 1 min 30 secs remaining in the game. Reil Cervantes pitched in 15 points and 10 rebounds. They won via 75-69 over the Adamson.
RR Garcia was the best player of the game. JR cawaling and aldrech ramos were not yet in the tamaraws' line-up because of their commitment for the smart gilas team, but RR Garcia took charge and he single-handedly carried the tamaraws over the adamson falcons. They will be facing the JRU heavy bomber or the San Sebastion College Recoletos Golden Stags in the finals. Depending on who will win in the second game.
In the second game the San Sebastion College Recoletos Golden Stags are ahead of the JRU Heavy Bombers. They maintained their lead, and they won the game via 55-49.
It is now official that the FEU Tamaraws will face the San Sebastian Stags in the Finals of the Flying V Basketball League. That will be on Sunday, June 13, 2010 4:00pm live at the San Juan Arena and televised live at Studio 23.
Just an update, in the finals the San Sebastian College Stags led by Calvin "the beast" Abueva defeated the FEU Tamaraws. They are the first ever NCAA team to win the Filoil Flying V Basketball league.
