South Africa vs. Mexico World Cup 2010

Here's a video of some Mexicans watching the South Africa and Mexico game live in the stadium at South Africa: "The First Game of The Fifa World Cup was A Draw". The video is part of the world cup opening ceremony.

To officially usher in the start of the highly celebrated 2010 fifa world cup, which is being held for the first time in South Africa since it started in the 1930's, the first game will be the home team Sout Africa will face Mexico.

Here's what happened in the game: Thanks to my friend Jay Assidao for the informations about the game.

The football players of South Africa "find trouble early on the first half as the Mexican offensive try to find home for the ball in the back net. They (Mexico) celebrated prematurely as an offside call prevented them from taking the lead. The Africans however are slowly creeping against the Mexican defense, with a few decent attempts at their goal... get ready for another 45 minutes of international football."-Jay Assidao.

Another information from Jay: "The Africans treat they're home crowd with a goal from Tshabalala on the 55th minute of the second half, coming back from a dismal first. It took a while for the Mexicans to get back in the game after a wonderful touch and strike from Marquez in the 79th. Unfortunately any succeeding attempts were nullified by the both sides' defense. Match finishes with a 1-1 draw, each team coming away with 1 point."-Jay Assidao.
