Out of all the approximately 20 schools that sent him an athletic scholarship offer, 3 schools stood out namely UC Irvine, Paul George's school in College Fresno State, and just recently UCLA (University of California in Los Angeles).
Days passed, Kobe has finally made a decision. He let his fans know that he has chosen to commit to the Bruins Basketball Program via a tweet.
The L.A. Cathedral junior has committed to UCLA shortly after getting an offer straight from UCLA Head-Coach Steve Alford.
Not a lot of people believe that Kobe is a diamond in the rough. Other schools slept on him, good thing Coach Steve noticed him and immediately sent him an offer.
This could be the turning point of Kobe's basketball career because throughout the past decade, UCLA is one of the top NCAA Division 1 schools along with Duke University and University of Florida that have produced a number of NBA players. Some of the current well known UCLA Bruins alumni in the NBA are OKC's Russel Westbrook, Cleveland's Kevin Love, Trevor Ariza, Matt Barnes, Darren Collison, and Ryan Hollins. I'm hoping that Kobe will soon follow their footsteps and reach the NBA.
