Kevin Durant Suffers Foot Injury To Undergo Surgery and Will Miss Several Weeks of NBA 2014-2015 Season

With the way things are going, the upcoming NBA 2014-2015 Season is shaping to become very competitive. Kobe Bryant and Derrick Rose are back and ready to make big waves for their respective teams. But unfortunately for the OKC Thunder, their leader and reigning NBA MVP Kevin Durant will be out for quite some time and will miss a significant part of the upcoming NBA Season due to a foot injury.

OKC announced earlier today that Durant was diagnosed with a Jones fracture in his right foot after a series of examination. And, based on previous cases, he might miss 6 to 8 weeks of the Season (approximately 2 months).

The timetable for his full recovery is still not definite. It will all depend on his body's coping mechanism. At 26 years old, KD's body can still heal quicker compared to older players in the league.

Russel Westbrook and the rest of his teammates will have to step up to fill in the void that will be left for the meantime by KD.
