Philippines Featured Again On FIFA.COM: Coach Weiss and Dan Palami In The Picture!
Source: FIFA.com
The Philippines has once again made it to the Front Page of the world famous FIFA.com. The Philippines Azkals' Head Coach Michael Weiss and the Azkals' Team Manager Dan Palami were featured in the picture below. But aside from the honor of being featured on a website that has immense popularity, the kind words and gratefulness of the Azkals' Head Coach, Mr. Weiss to the Filipino Football Fans in an interview conducted by FIFA appealed to my emotions. He said that:
It's still quite fresh to my memory that in the latter part of year 2011, Coach Weiss had a bad experience with some of the Filipino Football fans. In fact he was bombarded by harsh criticisms due to the poor performance of the Azkals, but now that they have risen to the challenge, just fresh from winning the Bronze Medal in the recently concluded AFC Challenge Cup in Nepal, and now that they are shaping to become one of the elite football teams in Asia, the bad experience has been transformed into gratefulness.
Time and Big Surprises like being featured on FIFA.com can definitely heal things and make everything better than it used to be. Thank you FIFA!
