The UP Fighting Maroons commenced the UAAP Season 88 with formidable momentum, asserting themselves early through critical rivalry games and high-stakes matchups. Encounters with elite programs such as UST and DLSU rigorously tested their resolve, solidifying a team prepared for an extended postseason campaign. By the time they reached the Final Four, the Maroons had established a disciplined rhythm grounded in teamwork, composure, and continuous, methodical improvement. 

 That unwavering focus propelled the UP Fighting Maroons through the decisive semifinal round and into the championship series, where the team exhibited remarkable composure and determination. In high-pressure situations and closely contested possessions, every player met the challenge head-on, refusing to yield against top-tier competition. Although the season concluded just shy of the title, UP’s Finals campaign exemplified their resilience and development.
