Sinag Pilipinas a.k.a. Gilas Cadets had a slow start, but they woke up in the 2nd half highlighted by the explosion of Almond Vosotros and the fine rebounding of their big men to help the Philippines beat Thailand, 80-75, to advance to the SEA Games men's basketball gold medal round. Thankfully, they survive a scare from Thais.
