Marcio Lassiter and Chris Lutz Not Eligible To Play In FIBA Asia Championship 2011 According To Lebanon? Smart Gilas Faces A Difficult Problem

Last night Coach Chot Reyes shared a very surprising news. He said that the Lebanese Team in the FIBA Asia Championship is questioning the eligibility of Chris Lutz and Marcio Lassiter. Me and my friends were surprised when we heard the news last night because we believe that Lebanon has a vested interest in doing such a desperate act. Does Lebanon want to weaken the Smart Gilas Pilipinas Team? I don't know but it appears that they want that to happen.

Think about this, Lutz and Lassiter have been playing for the Gilas Team for almost a year now, and then here comes Lebanon questioning their eligibility. Why does Lebanon question their eligibility a day before the opening of the FIBA Asia Championship 2011? Are they scared? I feel sad for them because they are playing desperate.

But the saddest part is that Smart Gilas is only given until 6:00 p.m. today prior to their game against UAE, to prove that Lutz and Lassiter are eligible. They should be able to present all the needed documents to prove that they are eligible. But, can they produce their respective eligibility papers on time? We need a major miracle on this guys. Let's hope and pray that they'll be able to pull this one off.
