The Next Jimmer Fredette: Ian Proulx

Jimmer Fredette will soon be an NBA player come June 2011. With his great shooting and on court smarts he led his Brigham Young University men's basketball team to plenty of victories in his last year as a senior player. His name has become a household name and he's slowly getting the attention and the awards that he deserves. NBA fans are rallying to support him in the NBA Draft 2011. They want him to be in the top 5 among the draftees. Jimmer led the whole college nation in scoring and with that I believe he should be in the top 5.

Jimmer is not yet in the NBA but many high school players are molding their style of playing to be like Fredette. One of them is Ian Proulx. Proulx loves to shoot long range threes like Fredette. Fredette have a bright future in the NBA and hopefully, Ian can also reach that point.

Ian Proulx is a 6' 1 Junior and a Combo Guard at Menlo-Atherton High School in Atherton, California. He had a breakout 2010-2011 season for his team. And, just like Jimmer, this boy can catch-and-shoot, dish assists, has great jab step, can drive the ball to the ring and he can create off-the-dribble.

Here's how Jimmer plays.

And look how close Ian Proulx's game to that of Jimmer's.
