    Nerlens Noel and Ruth Riley Gave tips to Young Basketball Players during Jr. NBA and Jr. WNBA Training Camp in PICC Forum






    Nerlens Noel of the Philadelphia 76ers and Ruth Riley 2-time champion and WNBA Legend, are in Manila to join Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Head Coach Chris Sumner and local Jr. NBA coaches in conducting the 3-day boot camp for players aged 10-14 who topped their respective regional selection camps in Puerto Princesa, BiƱan, Iloilo, Baguio, Bacolod, Davao, Manila and the Alaska Power Camp earlier this month.

    During the tip-off of the event, Noel spoke to the kids about what it takes to be successful in playing basketball. He shared some golden tips that will surely guide them in every step of the way.

    "They just have to stay humble, continue to work hard. Just stay positive. Have a positive mindset," Nerlens Noel shared to the kids who were listening to him attentively.

    He also bared that he went through a similar camp when he was younger and he learned a lot from it.

    "I attended a similar camp like this when I was younger. The camp taught me how to work hard and you know there are certain things that you have to do right. You have to be respectful and be a good student of the game," the lanky bigman of the 76ers added.

    Riley meanwhile taught the kids the importance of listening to their mentors.

    "Have fun. Work hard and listen to your coaches, Riley said.

    The two will be at the center of the activities on Sunday April 26 at the culmination of the Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA National Training Camp in Mall of Asia Music Hall.
