Ali Peek Retires From The PBA: Read His Retirement Message Here

    By BallersPinas

Manila, Philippines -- After 16 memorable playing years in the PBA, Ali "Man Mountain" Peek has announced his retirement from playing in the PBA via his Twitter account few hours ago.

"2day I retire from professional basketball. I thank my family, loved ones, friends, team, coaches, management, and God :) What a ride," Peek tweeted.

The people that admire him took to Twitter just to pay tribute to the Man Mountain who not only served as a beacon of hope for undersized big men, but also proved that when you truly love something like the sport of basketball, a gun shot straight in the head won't stop you from playing the sport. That was a true story and I'm sure you followed him on how he conquered that adversity just to get on the court and play again.

Being relentless and being passionate, those are the two things that define Mr. Peek.

A former 3rd overall pick in the 1998 PBA Draft, Ali Peek played for 5 different PBA teams namely Coca Cola, Pop Cola, Alaska, Sta. Lucia, and Talk 'n Text.
