The DLSU Green Archers have found a diamond in the Visayan Region in the form of Kib Montalbo who willingly committed to play for the Taft Based Squad in the upcoming UAAP Season 76 Men’s Basketball Wars.
Kib is a lanky combo guard from St. John’s Institute. He’s a former member of the Jr. NBA All Star Philippine Team that competed in China few years ago. He has great basketball handles, he can drive the ball to the basket, and he has an outstanding outside shooting.
Kib’s father said that they will go to Manila to formalize their agreement with DLSU.
Coach Gee Abanilla happily admits that Kib will play a crucial role for DLSU’s Championship run in the UAAP this year.
As an additional info, here's what my friend told me about Kib:
He's a Point Guard. Athletic siya. Mataas siya tumalon. I remember nung nasa Bacolod kami and nanunuod ako game nila siya ung nag jump ball. Hahaha.. Mahilig din siya mag off the dribble then jump shot tsaka ung mga galing sa screen na jump shot. Tapos slasher pa at magaling sa 1 on 1.
