PBA All-Star Game Results In Boracay: Hala Bora PBA All-Star Game 2011

The PBA All-Star game is in Boracay and it's about to end today. The 2011 PBA North versus South All-Star game is waiting in the wings today, May 22, 2011. The side events have already ended and the results are as follows.

In the obstacle challenge, Jimmy Alapag, Alex Cabagnot, LA Tenorio, Chris Ross, Willie Miller, Josh Urbiztondo, Sean Athony and Ronjay Buenafe joined the challenge. Jonas Villanueva regained the obstacle challenge title. He finished with the best time of 29. 7 seconds title. Willie Miller finished second with 34.7 seconds and Chris Ross finished third with 37.1 seconds. Jonas won 20,000 pesos.

In the three point shootout Mark Macapagal also retained his title. He nailed 17 points to beat Ronald Tubid and Jimmy Alapag who both had 15 points. Macapagal is now on the elite list of back-to-back three point shootout winners. The list includes Allan Caidic, Boyet Fernandez and Jasper Ocampo.

    Mark Macapagal said:

“Ang sarap ng panalo. Of course, honor ito para sa akin.”

In the PBA Slam Dunk competition, Kelly Williams went up against Ray Guevarra of Petron. This year's slam dunk competition was not that exciting compared to the previous years wherein Gabe Norwood, Kelly Williams and KG Canaleta are all in the competition. This year only Kelly was present. Kelly had a walk in the park this year. He didn't push himself too much against the rookie Guevarra. He had difficult dunks in his pocket but the ordinary and at the same time emphatic dunks did the trick for him. Guevarra had a cradle dunk that wowed the crowd but Williams was just too good. Williams implored the help of his buddy, Jimmy Alapag to throw a football pass all the way from the stands while he was gliding for a dunk. That sealed the deal. Kelly Williams won the PBA Slam Dunk 2011 title.

Finally, for the PBA All-Star Game, even if they don't have Mark Caguioa, the North All-Stars still beat the South All-Stars via 133-129. Jean Marc Pingris led the North All-Stars with plenty of points. He was the All-Star Game MVP.
