The University of The Philippines Lady Maroons has finally started with the right foot in the UAAP women's volleyball as they beat the University of The East Lady Warriors. Mela Lopez who came from the UST High School Volleyball Team had a great game as she defies the hard blockers of UE with his patented differentials and off hits. She was named as the best player of the game.
Mela was helped by her teamate Angeli Araneta who had 21 points in the form of 21 attacks.
The complete set scores are: 25-16, 25-27, 25-23 and 25-23.
