-adidas Basketball lifts off with the second iteration of Crazy Explosive.
-Creating confidence to rise above the opposition with the comfort to land from any height.
-One goal: Help athletes make a difference on the court by creating the greatest basketball shoe ever.
Boost is life and so there I was playing basketball in the new adidas Crazy Explosive 2017 at the Titan Trial Run held last Thursday at the Treston International School in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.
It was a night of awesomeness as the members of the media get to test the amazing shoe.
Support, Stability, Style, and Comfort were all noticeable as soon as I put on the shoe. Sir JD Cortez of adidas Philippines was right.
"As a consumer what I look for in a shoe are 3S and a C so it's support, stability, style, along with comfort. I think this is what this shoe brings to us consumers," declared Sir JD.
"In the Philippines uso dito yung dribble drive diba or yung saksak nang saksak iso plays. So I think this is one of the perfect shoes that would cater to our Philippine Market. After all, it's very innovative and it's creative, isn't it?" he added.
PLAY ABOVE THE REST:
The Crazy Explosive 2017 introduces Forged Primeknit – a single-piece upper designed with areas of unique dimension that create structured support and reinforced stability in key target zones. Paired with ankle and tongue cushioning for lightweight comfort, a sock-like collar ensures natural movement and enhances on-court support. The latest model is lifted on full-length BOOST and wrapped with a lateral TPU roll cage, harnessing its added energy return for heightened control when taking off to the basket. Power traction delivers commanding grip designed for light footwork and explosive gameplay.
GET UP & SHOW OUT:
Designed to posterize on the court, Crazy Explosive 17’s Forged Primeknit execution creates an elevated wave pattern across the upper for a bold aesthetic that maintains lightweight durability. The brand’s three stripes are displayed on the ankle, while ‘ADIDAS BASKETBALL’ is stamped on the heel taping.
Titan Trial Run
During the trial run, I noticed my on-court movement became smoother and the responsiveness and energy return from the full-length Boost came in handy as the intensity of the game increases. Though the shoe is hard to put in due to the sock-like collar, it was all worth it in the end. As what they say, good things take time. So be patient.
Without being too technical, I felt :
-The shoe is lighter than the previous version
-It has a much improved impact absorption
-A good shoe ventilation considering it's now a Forged Primeknit
-A supportive flexible one piece Forged Primeknit upper that's durable and stylish
-A more supportive lacing system (more dynamic eyelets) for better lockdown
-A snug fit from the sockliner down to the midfoot. The shoe just molds perfectly to your feet.
-You don't have to think too hard about your next move, the responsiveness of the shoe is super nice!
Well, those are just my initial thoughts on the Crazy Explosive 2017. I want to try the shoe on an outdoor court so that I can give out a more detailed field report. So stay tuned.
