Kiefer Ravena's Mom Mozzy Ravena Writes An Inspirational Message On Facebook on The Day Kiefer Received His UAAP MVP Award

Behind every great man is a great woman. That's probably why Kiefer Ravena has been very successful in the UAAP, it's because he has a great mom supporting him all the way no matter what.

That great support system was evident in the message that her mom wrote on Facebook yesterday that went viral on the internet.

Out of pure joy for his son's latest achievement- receiving his very first UAAP MVP Award, Ma'am Mozzy Ravena wrote this inspirational message on her Facebook account.

When i was pregnant with this boy, i would wake up at night weirdly looking at Bong dribbling my big belly while he was asleep. I guess he was starting Kiefer with his dribbling skill. True enough, Kiefer did not exchange his basketball to any computer game,Pokemon cards or any toy when he was child. We knew then that Kiefer loved basketball.

Growing up i would always tell him to try his best at everything, in school, in basketball and most important of all, is to try to be a good person.

Last season was the WORST and the LOWEST i have ever seen this boy. It was a trying time for all of us. (God no replay please) Bong and I came to a realization that Kiefer did not only love basketball it was his life.

For awhile I couldn't find happy, funny and loving son. It felt like forever, with a lot of sadness and tears, i just kept on looking and looking and looking...........

One day he said not to worry because i would find him when UAAP Season 77 starts.
I DID!!! He was happy again. My season already ended with a bang. I won! Every game i would see the happy boy getting happier.

So much has been said about Kiefer and his game, some blaming him, some giving advices and some even blaming coach Bo in making Kiefer a 'wild' player, but it's ok because they are few compared to the many who thank him and love him win or lose. It's a game, you win some you lose some. The coaches and the players definitely want a win more than any of us.

Today Kiefer will receive his first ever UAAP MVP trophy (to others this may sound bragging but i made sure it's official) being...

    #1 points per game
    #1 in field goals made
    #2 2 point field goals
    #5 3 point field goals
#1 in free throws made (believe ot or not)
    #1 in assists
    #2 in steals
#1 in assist to turnover ratio

Playing 35 mins per game with not so many turnovers. Having the highest statistical points since the system was used I think this boy gave everything he could this season and knowing Kiefer he would exchange his trophy for a ring anytime.

To coach Bo, from a mother, thank you for pushing the right button in bringing back Kiefer's zero confidence not only in basketball and but in life in general. To his second family, the team, thank you, it was a roller coaster ride but the love and support was felt all the way to Katips.

To God, family, friends, the Ateneo community, his inspiration, his supporters, especially the team THANK YOU for putting the smile back on my Kiefer's face.

The message came with this very cute photo collage:
