Kobe Bryant Can Now Play Full Contact Basketball Practice, He Will Return on...: This is the Kobe Injury Update!
By Val Marvin Macanas
"He is looking sharp in practice." That's what Kobe's long time teammate Pau Gasol said to the media when he was asked about The Black Mamba's condition after his first full contact practice session last Saturday after his Achilles tendon surgery last April.
Several months have passed since Kobe's surgery, and the initial timetable for his full recovery was 6-9 months. That means he seems to be right on schedule as he has already practiced with his teammates.
He is in the 7th month of his recovery schedule. Just a little more body conditioning, getting back in shape and getting that killer stroke back and he's good to go.
A number of reports suggested that Kobe looked "surprisingly" good during Saturday's practice, and the coaching staff is said to be scrutinizing his activity throughout the week ahead.
If he sits out Sunday he'll have 4 straight days of practice to get ready for a possible return next Friday against Stephen Curry and the rest of the Golden state Warriors.
Yeah guys. I feel your excitement for Kobe's impending return after tearing his achilles tendon. I'm happy that he is way ahead of his recovery schedule. The return is indeed coming! Get ready!
