Here's an exciting news for adidas and the millions of Filipino basketball fans! Derrick Rose will be coming to Manila this September 14 to 16.

Today, the brand with 3 stripes a.k.a. adidas announced the official plans for summer tours with NBA partner athletes including Derrick Rose, John Wall Dwight Howard, Ricky Rubio and many more.

2 continents, 14 countries, 25 cities and 50 days, the tours represent the most expansive and large-scale effort by adidas to connect their partners athletes with fans, grow the game and showcase the latest from adidas Basketball.

D Rose returns to Manila, Philippines

The Chicago Bulls superstar Derrick Rose headlines the D Rose Tour, where the 2011 NBA Most Valuable Player visits Europe and returns to Asia for the 3rd time.

The latter includes a 3-day visit to Manila, Philippines from September 14-16. This marks the return of Rose since he last arrived in the country for a pair of exhibition games in July 2011.

Inspired by the exciting and attacking on-court play and smooth, understated off-court style of Derrick Rose, fans attending the tours will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet and have unique access to Derrick through a multitude of premium, exclusive events.

Even before D Rose arrives in Manila, high school basketball players from the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand will compete in regional 3on3 basketball tournaments. The winning teams from these countries will get the chance to meet and play in front of D Rose in Manila.

A retail promotion across Southeast Asia markets will also run from July to August, giving customers a chance to win All-Access VIP passes to the D Rose Tour activities in Manila.

Come September, D Rose will engage his fans through a variety of activities, such as a basketball competition, a party, meet & greet opportunities and social media campaigns. He will also sport the D Rose 773, which includes signature details and Crazyquick technology to help make Derrick quicker on the court.
