There are trade rumors circulating all over the internet involving the Number 2 overall pick of the Alaska Aces, Calvin “The Beast” Abueva. The up and coming Rookie allegedly wants to play for Ginebra San Miguel. Fans from both Alaska and Ginebra can’t seem to discern whether it’s true or not.
Thankfully, a fan bravely asked Calvin on Twitter concerning the issue. “Hindi naman sa gusto kung may pagkakataon sabi ko,” replied Calvin.
For me, there’s thin line separating “I want to play” and “If there’s a chance to play.” The two statements have definite general objective. They differ only in terms of the degree of conviction.
But for now, it is safe to say that Calvin is open to the possibility of being able to suit up for Ginebra San Miguel, SOMEDAY.
