But suddenly, Melo Afuang, together with his partner, Kevin Ferrer produced another 11-5 run in the remaining 5 mins. of the 1st half that enabled them to take the lead ending the 1st half, 30-33.
During the 2nd half, both teams replied to each others' baskets resulting into a fast-changing lead transition. With the 11-2 run of the ADMU with less than 4 mins. remaining in the 3rd Q widen their gap over UST, 50-42.
As the Blue Eagles were on their momentum, Aljon Mariano never lost his hope as he kept on producing points via the 3-point arc with the aid of Teng and Fortuna that kept them closed with ADMU. The game became tied at 63 when Mariano successfully dropped his crucial 2 pointer. However, Ravena broke the dead-lock with only 1.1 sec. remaining, putting the Tigers on the crucial situation. Mariano got the inbound and forced himself to push the match in OT, but Slaughter managed to block his shot. That handed the game to ADMU.
