B-Meg Llamados survived a close and tight match against the rookie team Shopinas.com Clickers, 76-65, for the 2nd game today of the PBA 37th Season Philippine Cup.
Still on a no-win situation, the Clickers maintained a close match against the Llamados until the 3rd quarter, but Llamados' James Yap stretched their lead in the last quarter that made the Clickers struggle to get back the lead.
The Clickers, after Ogie Menor being out of the court together with Ronjay Buenafe due to technical fouls, suffered a 4 point deficit at the end of the 3rd quarter. The Llamados took the opportunity to control the ball game.
The Clickers also suffered from an early penalty situation, with 7:35 left in the ball game, as their players were giving fouls to the Llamados to stop their momentum in firing hot shots.
Rookie Andy Mark Barroca, with his new career high of 13 points and 5 rebounds crashed the 1st-win hopes of the Clickers as he fired unstoppable 2 pointers from all over the court.
The Clickers' Elmer Espiritu, together with the "small but terrible" RJ Jazul tried to open a deadlock opportunity with less than 3 minutes left on the game clock by firing 3 pointers from beyond the arc but those shots turned out to be unsuccessful. They fell short to the Llamados. The Llamados now improve on their win-loss record. They now have 3 wins and 4 losses.
