The B-Meg Llamados walloped the "Never Say Die" Ginebra Kings, 88-76, for the 2nd match of the PBA 37th Season yesterday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Mark Pingris labeled as the best player of the game as he clinched a double-double 10 points, 10 rebounds with 2 steals and 2 blocks that helped the Llamados posses a two-digit lead over the Kings in the latter part of the game.
Meanwhile, Helterbrand with Cortez governed the Kings and tried to cut their deficit from their successful 3-point attempts but they fell short as the Ginebra Kings failed to posses the lead in the 4th quarter. But take note, they were able to tie the score for 10 times up to the the 3rd quarter, but the Llamados already gave their best defense to start the final quarter which barred the Kings from getting back the lead.
The Llamados made a 16-5 run for the last 4 mins. of the ball game that dispatched the Ginebra Kings' hope to improve on the standings.
