Ricky Rubio Signs Contract With Minnessota Timberwolves: Ready For NBA No Matter What

The 20 year-old Ricky Rubio has finally signed the contract to play for the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2011-2012 NBA season. The only thing that's stopping him from entering the NBA is the 1 million dollar buyout that the Timberwolves should pay to the Regal FC Barcelona, the Spanish professional basketball team of Rubio. Rubio has 6 years to play with Regal FC Barcelona according to his contract. Thankfully there's a provision in his contract that gives an option for a buy out. Minnesota should take advantage of that buy out deal if they really want the services of Rubio.

Last May 6, 2011 David Khan went to Spain to court Rubio and ask him to fly to the USA to play for Minnessota. Rubio was given a month to think about his offer. And now Rubio has decided to join the Timberwolves. He wants to play in the NBA and so he signed a contract with the Timberwolves earlier today. The buy out issue is undergoing negotiations right now. The problem lies specifically on the buy out limit that the NBA is implementing. Only 500,000 dollar buy out deals are allowed in the NBA. I just hope that Regal FC Barcelona would give in to a lower buy out amount than 1 million dollars. They should feel for Rubio's dream to be in the NBA. The 20 year old phenom really wants to be in the most prestigious basketball league in the whole wide world.
