Bata Reyes And Bustamante Crashed Thailand Foes: World Cup of Pool 2010
The Robinson's mall was jampacked when two Filipino Hall of Famers in Billiards play together against Thailander pool players.
Efren Reyes and Django Bustamante teamed up in this year's World Cup of Pool 2010 doubles which is being held at the Robinsons mall. The people in the stands were star strucked when they saw these two great billiards get to play together as one. Their opponents even asked for their autographs. As a result the Filipino team won via 8-3 victory. Although the Thais loss the match, they were still happy because they got the chance to play against their idols.
The Thais somehow made the game very interesting in the beginning. The Filipinos lost their first two racks but as every legends are, they managed to accept the challenge they made a great run in the third up to the ninth rack enroute to winning the match.
The win gave the Filipinos the ticket for the next round wherein Indonesia is waiting for them in the wings.
Bustamante said “We really thought it’s an alternate break format, but good thing we were able to recover after being down 0-2." He recently won his first world title -- the World 9-Ball Championship in Qatar last month.
The team of Bustamante and Reyes has won two championships in the World Cup of Pool and they are seeking for their third trophy.
