Gatorade Run 2016 Highlights: Winners and Celebrities (Photos)

I had the privilege to attend the Gatorade Run last Nov. 27, 2016 at the SM MOA. I saw the significant increase in the number of runners and the other breakthroughs that transpired. Here are some of the highlights that made the event more special.

More than 6,700 runners participated in the second year of the Gatorade Run 11-22. The titular run, fueled by the world’s number one sports drink and organized by Runrio, aimed to promote proper hydration in the country’s fast-growing and active running communities.

Gatorade Run 2016 was attended by the brand’s roster of top-caliber brand ambassadors including Alyssa Valdez (2nd from right seated) and Alaska Aces’ Calvin Abueva (second from left, standing).

Gatorade ambassadors and volleyball stars (L-R) EJ Laure, Jia Morado, Alyssa Valdez and Jaja Santiago were present to support the runners at Gatorade Run 2016.

Gatorade Run 2016 22K male podium finishers (L-R): 2nd placer Jeremy Remegia and top finisher Vander Vizconde. Alexander Cenzon (not in photo) placed 3rd.

Gatorade Run 2016 11K male podium finishers (L-R): 2nd placer Yuniel Enreras, top finisher Ander Iza Rekakoetxea who finished the 11K run in 45 minutes, and 3rd placer Roderick Saludes.

Gatorade Run 2016 11K female podium finishers (L-R): 2nd placer and Gatorade ambassador Ani Brown, top finisher Cinderella Lorenzo who finished fastest at 50 minutes, and 3rd placer Krizia Vanessa Quilantang.
