Sol Mercado Reveals Scottie Thompson's Secret to Getting Plenty of Rebounds

Tweet Scoop:

Scottie Thompson has been racking up monster rebounds in the PBA Governors' Cup 2016 reminiscent of his legendary performance in the NCAA where he became a double-double machine.

In their most recent game, he registered 12 points and 12 rebounds to help Ginebra win over Mahindra to solidify their twice-to-beat advantage in the playoffs.

His incredible ability to beat big guys in getting the loose balls captured the attention of the fans. They can't help but ask how he does it.

One of Scottie's teammates Sol Mercado answered it via Twitter. He shared something very common to great players. "Relentless" he said. That's what the former Perpetual Altas has been doing this conference. He was relentless in getting rebounds against all odds.

Interesting to note, I remember Michael Jordan's trainer Tim Grover describe the GOAT as relentless. That's a hallmark of a champion athlete.

Now we know that Scottie's non-stop movement and dynamism on the court enable him to consistently get those amazing rebounds.

As what the undersized players would say, height doesn't really matter in basketball. It's all about the passion and dedication to make a huge contribution to the cause of your team.
