Barangay Ginebra and Alaska engaged on a highly competitive game during the PBA Governors' Cup 2016 Superball Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Only one team had to prevail after the overtime period and it was the Aces, 109-100.
Ginebra and its new import Justin Brownlee went up against a complete Alaska Squad headed by the controversial Calvin Abueva who seem to be motivated more than ever after getting cut from Gilas' final 12-man line-up.
Calvin was all over the floor diving for loose balls and getting timely putbacks. He was doing a commendable job until a play wherein he allegedly threw an elbow in the face of Chris Ellis caused the crowd inside the venue to boo him.
The two players took to Twitter their reaction to the physicality of the game.
According to reports, Commissioner Narvasa is already taking a closer look at what really transpired into the play.
