One of the UST Tigresses' cornerstones Carmela Tunay suffered a painful nose injury after colliding with teammate Pam Lastimosa during their Shakey's V-League match against TIP on Sunday at the Arena in San Juan. She's projected to be out for considerable amount of time, and most likely she will miss the rest of the V-League collegiate conference.
A downpour of messages came in as her friends including former NU Lady Bulldog Dindin Santiago-Manabat, her sister Jaja Santiago and Ateneo Lady Eagles' phenom Alyssa Valdez showed their support for UST's veteran spiker.

"Get well soon Mela," Said Jaja.
"Pagaling siya kasi yun nga malaking adjustment kasi malaking bagay din siya sa team niya, sa UST. Palakas sya," Dindin stated.
"Let's all pray for Mela Tunay. She's really a big part of UST and the Philippine Volleyball. Again, let's pray for her," Valdez highlighted.
