Philippines moves up in The FIBA World Rankings 2014: Check Out The Latest List

By BallersPinas

After making waves in the FIBA Asia Championship and the FIBA World Cup 2014, Smart Gilas Pilipinas a.k.a. Team Philippines has moved from Number 34 to Number 31 in the latest FIBA World Rankings. A big congratulations to Coach Chot Reyes and the boys!

Our contemporaries in Asia also experienced a great leap forward. South Korea moved from 31 to 27 while Iran moved from No. 20 to No. 17.

Elite teams such as Team USA, Spain, Argentina, and Lituania remained undisturbed at the top of the World Rankings as they stayed at Number 1-4 respectively.

The lone team that we beat in the World Cup, Senegal, had the biggest improvement as they moved from number 41 to 30.

Team Philippines will continue its quest in the Asian Games 2014 in Incheon, Korea later this month. #LabanPilipinas #Puso!
