Doug Kramer’s Team Beat DeMar Derozan’s Squad in KFC Fully Loaded Basketball Shootout Yesterday

By Val Macanas

July 4, 2014, Pasay City Philippines -- KFC Philippines, in partnership with the National Basketball Association (NBA), treated some lucky fans to a one-of-a-kind basketball experience by having PBA player Doug Kramer face Toronto Raptors forward and NBA All-Star DeMar DeRozan in a Fully Loaded Shootout at the KFC SM Mall of Asia yesterday.

The two teams that battled it out down to the last shot were Team KFC and Team NBA. Our very own Doug Kramer was the Captain of Team KFC while NBA Star DeMar Derozan headed the Team NBA.

The competing teams had three (3) to four (4) members each. They outlasted each other in a unique four-round basketball shootout, which is also KFC Philippines’ initiative in line with this year’s NBA 3X, an annual event of the NBA in the Philippines.

“We recognize the Filipinos’ passion for basketball and by having our country's own basketball star, Doug Kramer, represent Team KFC in the Fully Loaded Shootout, we’ll be showcasing the love that we have for this game,” explained KFC Philippines Marketing Director Errol Magdato.

“As the official fast food partner of the NBA, KFC Philippines has been known for bringing a so good basketball experience to NBA fans in the country through our promos and events. Recently, we had the KFC JR. NBA Shootout where 6 kids from Virlanie Foundation had the chance to play a shootout with Utah Jazz forward Gordon Hayward. Also, we were able to send 2 lucky NBA fans to watch this year’s NBA Finals live in Miami,” he added.

The KFC Fully Loaded Shootout reached its conclusion yesterday where Doug Kramer's Team KFC won. Here are some of the group shots that were taken yesterday at the event.

Throughout the course of the event, the newest sets of KFC Fully Loaded Meals were also launched. These are: Zinger Fully Loaded Meal, Spaghetti Fully Loaded Meal, Fully Loaded Meal Snackboxes and Fully Loaded Bucket of Fries!
