Gabe Freeman , Ginebra 's New Import In PBA 2014 Commissioner's Cup, He Will Replace Josh Powell

By BallersPinas

Unknown to many, Gabe Freeman had some practice sessions with the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Team few months ago prior to the start of the Commissioner's Cup. That's why he is part of the Team officials' top 3 choices (Thomas, Emmett, and Freeman) as Josh Powell's replacement.

Lo and behold, the Ginebra Management has promulgated a decision few hours ago. They have chosen Freeman to replace Powell. He will take over the position that Josh vacated after playing 1 game for Ginebra wherein they lost to Alaska 83-73.

Powell was forced to leave Ginebra after getting a call-up from the Houston Rockets. He flew back to the United States earlier today to join the Rockets as they make their final preparations for the upcoming NBA Playoffs.

Ginebra fans can't help but put their hopes on Freeman as their team try to make a serious run in the PBA Playoffs. There seems to be no doubt in their minds that Freeman can help lift Ginebra up this Conference. After all, his credentials speak for itself. Take note, he is a former PBA Best Import Awardee.

Former Ginebra import Dior Lowhorn also thinks that Freeman will do wonders for his beloved team.

Freeman will arrive on Wednesday morning, approximately less than 4 days before they face Rain or Shine on Sunday.
