Derrick Rose Suffers A New Injury In Game Against Cavaliers

By BallersPinas

Chicago, Illinois -- The Chicago Bulls may have notched a much needed victory by defeating the up and coming Cleveland Cavaliers squad, 96-81, Monday night at the United Center, but things seem to be going against the Bulls as their star point-guard Derrick Rose suffered another injury late in the game.

The game was a tight one, a seesaw battle that really challenged the Bulls and their leader D-Rose.

Kyrie and Derrick went head-to-head, and as usual Derrick Rose showed that he's still one of the top point-guards in the game. He showed his uncanny quickness and incredible ability to finish a play amidst tall defenders.

But unfortunately, Right after hitting an all important lay-up that gave the Chicago Bulls a more comfortable cushion against the very pesky Cleveland Cavaliers mid-way in the 4th Quarter, Derrick Rose suddenly grimaced in pain favoring his right leg as he troops to the Bulls bench.

Good thing after the game, Coach Thibs immediately clarified the degree of injury by saying that it's just a minor hamstring injury for Rose on his right knee not his repaired knee. He will be re-evaluated tomorrow.

Rose finished the game with 16 points, 7 assists, 3 rebounds and 0 TO's. Irving on the other hand registered 16 points, 4 assists and 2 rebounds for the Cavaliers.

The Bulls now have a 3-3 win-loss record. They will face the Toronto Raptors on Friday. Hopefully, D-Rose can play on that game to help tow Chicago above .500.
