The Philippine Superliga (PSL) volleyball tournament will open on July 7, 2013 at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig. 6 participating teams Cagayan Valley, PLDT, Petron, Cignal, PCSO and Army will be battling it out in this invitational tournament
The PSL is also the Philippines' first ever 100% professional volleyball league and the first commercial women’s volleyball league ever assembled.
The league is designed to be a haven for former college volleyball players who want to pursue a full time volleyball career. It is also a way of making Philippine Volleyball more prominent in this Basketball dominated country.
We will see big time players in Superliga. Some superstars from both the UAAP and the NCAA will be playing in the said League. Morada, Cainglet, Balse, and Saet are some of the big time players who will be present in the league.
Unfortunately, the PSL will not be available on Free TV as it will only be aired on cable TV.
To know more about the participating Teams, here's the the incomplete team rosters:

Team Meralco composes mostly former stars from La Salle.
This is not like Shakey's V-League where team names are school names.

this league brings hope to all Pinay Athleticism, should we need to give more exposure, it will help bring more joy to every fans if it was to be aired not only to a cable TV network. wish the organization find its ways of promoting this tournament with the help from other top free TV network channels, most likely the GMA, PTV-4 and Abs-cbn network... woman's volleyball is now becoming a must watch sports entertainment of today... it will surely promote commercial enterprizes... private and gov't owned company's... as that of then (MICAA) that turns to be professional with the PBA in man's basketball league. wish and looking forward to watch this events in a free TV netork channels. please do not over commercialize this events, if only to promote the best of this s piker's...

HAHAHA! Ateneo and USTE combine! I'll be supporting TEAM PETRON all the way. Ateneo fan kasi ako. The fact na Petron sila, ede dun din ako. Lol. XD -Wala pa ang Santiago Sisters, si Baldo etc kasi they're still studying pa kasi. Hehe :) Diba nasa description nga na this is for the FORMER COLLEGE VBALL PLAYERS who want to pursue their Vball career. :D
