Ateneo Lady Eagles Support Play Fair Campaign: Let’s All Play Fair!

The Ateneo De Manila University Lady Eagles Women’s Volleyball Team supports the Play Fair Campaign on responsible use of different social media platforms e.g. Facebook, Twitter, etc..

Gretchen Ho, Fille Cainglet, Marge Tejada, Alyssa Valdez, Dzi Gervacio, DenDen Lazaro and Jirah Llaneta expressed their respective ideas about being a responsible social media user.

“The Ateneo Women’s Volleyball Team support the Play Fair Campaign which is about playing fair not only on the volleyball court but also in the different social media. We value playing fair….,” Gretchen said.

“Using social media like Facebook and Twitter, we have to be mindful of what we post or what we share,” DenDen explained.

“Sure you have freedom of speech but there are still limitations. We should put them into context,” said the political science student Miss Dzi Gervacio.

“We should have a sense of empathy when we use Social Media…,” according to the phenom Alyssa Valdez.

“Some words can really affect other…,” Fille said. “Instead of bashing or instead na maghanap ng away post positive things nalang and just show your support. Be constructive nalang in what you’re saying. Think first before your click,” added Marge and Jirah.

The bottom line is we must all Share-fair and Tweet-Fair!- Gretchen.

The campaign is a project made by Gretchen Ho, Gelo Caancan, and Markus Alcantara for their Media Law and Ethics Class.
