Lionel Messi Is The Player of The Year! : Is He The Greatest Football Player Right Now?

    By Val Macanas

Lionel Messi of FC Barcelona has once again been declared as the LFP Player of The Year. This is the 3rd consecutive Player of The Year award that he received in his career as a professional football player.

He’s been a great player this year. In fact, Tito Vilanova, Barcelona’s Manager can't help but praise him.

Last season, Messi broke several records. He broke the record for the highest number of goals scored by a single player in the Spanish La Liga. He scored a total of 50 impressive goals. Not so many footballer can do what he just did.

Aside from the Player of The Year Award, Messi also captured the Best forward honor. He bested other football greats such as Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid.

This probably settles the score. Messi can definitely be considered as one of the greatest footballers on the planet right now.
