The Rain or Shine Elasto-painters (ROS) are still on the top of the standing as they defeated the still with no single win Shopinas.com Clickers with a heartbreaking final score of 96-75 for the 1st game of the PBA Season 87 yesterday at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
A sweet first half for the Clickers as they gave the Elasto Painters a close match. JR Sena firing continuous 2 outside shots made the Clickers posses the lead. But Paul Lee together with Jeff Chan, answered those hot shots which gave them the first biggest lead in the ball game which stood at 3 points.
Menor and ROS Head Coach, Yeng Guiao both got a technical foul as coach Guiao elbowed Menor after he taunted the bench players of RoS. Coach Yeng Guiao, with a total of 2 technical fouls, was thrown out of the court with 2:13 mins. remaining in 2nd quarter.
Jeff Chan, hurdled the charge for ROS while coach Yeng was out. He was unstoppable firing successful 3 points that stretched their lead to two-digits in the 2nd half.
Clickers still hopeful as they attempt to fire 3's from beyond the arc but those shot were unsuccessful.
Mark Canlas of the Clickers tried to lessen their deficit by firing a back-to-back 3 points, but Jerby Cruz did not permit to end the game without making double-double points in his score sheet, made the final 6 points that ended the game with them having a 21 point lead.
