Marcus Douthit Will Not Play In SEA Games 2011 For Philippines

The 6'11 Center who powered the Smart Gilas Pilipinas to a very impressive 4th place finish in the recently concluded FIBA Asia Championship 2011 will not be included in the Sinag Pilipinas' 14 man line-up that will compete in the 2011 South East Asian Games in Indonesia because of his prior commitment to the Chinese League.

Coach Norman Black, the head coach of the Team was the one who confirmed the news. He said that:

“He (Douthit) will not be with us, but we’ll be okay without him (Douthit). Our centers (Ian) Sangalang and (Greg) Slaughter will man the shaded lane for us."
