Azkals To Have Their Own Practice Field Courtesy of the 21.7 Million Pesos From FIFA

The Philippine Football Federation (PFF) will receive a 500,000 dollars (21.7 million pesos) from the International Football Federation (FIFA). The PFF's plan is to use the money to transform the Philsports pitch to become the Azkals' home football practice field.

At last, the Philippine Azkals will already have a permanent address. They will no longer transfer from one practice venue to another such as from the University of Makati football field to the Rizal Memorial Football Field.

Mr. Nonong Araneta, the president of the PFF was the one confirmed the news. He said that:

"Fifa approved the grant after it was satisfied with the draft of the provisions in the Memorandum of Agreement entered into by the PFF and the Philippine Sports Commission. We (PFF and PSC) will have to sign the MOA again on Sept. 1, but it’s only for formality because the draft has already been approved by Fifa.”

The said home field of the Azkals will be managed by the PFF for the next 25 years. That's the agreement of the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) and the Philippine Football Federation (PFF).
